Fire Water Tank Requirement

Under the Regulation on Protection of Buildings from Fire, fire water tanks are mandatory for buildings with certain characteristics.

Which Buildings are Required?

Capacity Calculation

Fire water tank capacity is determined according to the buildings risk class and sprinkler/hydrant system:

• Low Hazard: Minimum 30 minutes water capacity
• Medium Hazard: Minimum 60 minutes water capacity
• High Hazard: Minimum 90 minutes water capacity
